Chief Sports Officer Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director Youth and Sports.
• Participating in articulating Sports policy initiatives, programmes and activities in the Sub-County.
• Liaising with Sub-Branches of Sports federation, clubs and teams in conducting clinics on the set sports standards.
• Preparing and organizing teams for matches and championships.
• Coordinating coaching of teams, clubs, coaches, trainers and Sports Administrators.
• Identifying and developing Sports talent in the Sub-County.
• Sensitizing teams and clubs on cross cutting issues such as HIV/AIDS, drugs and Substance abuse through sports.
• Participating in preparation of budget, work plans and monitoring and evaluation of Sports programs.

Requirements for the Chief Sports Officer Job

• Must be Kenyan Citizen.
• The Officer must have a degree in any of the following discipline: Physical Education Sports Sciences or Leisure and recreation Management from a recognized Institution
  Or
• Bachelor degree in Social Sciences with a post graduate Diploma in Sports Administration and Management or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
• Must have a 5 years’ experience in a related field.
• Must have attended at least one coaching/referring course in any sports discipline.
