Production Supervisor Jobs at Uplands Premium Dairies

Nature of Job: Full time

Uplands Premium Dairies and Foods Limited is a leading Dairy Company located in Kiambu County and a well known leader for its high quality dairy products country wide with its flagship brand “Pascha”

We seek to recruit for the following position;

Job Purpose

The role holder will be expected to deliver the production requirement by processing products in compliance to the established/agreed quality standards by optimizing the resources and by continuously improving the way things are done to attain total quality of the products and achieve low cost of the process.

The role reports to the Production Manager.

Production Supervisor Job Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing measurement systems to improve performance at the production floor.
• Closely liaise with the raw milk procurement officers to plan and execute daily processing schedules.
• Coordinate with the commercial team in growing the market and addressing market issues/complains etc
• Establish system for daily raw materials balance and control.
• First time right in Quality for new products and revalidate Quality systems.
• Innovation and new product development delivery.
• Managing team and individual performance through regular reviews, monitoring processes and ensuring correction/adjustments needs are identified and effected.
• Health, Safety and Environment management to comply with statutory requirements and in line with the company safety policy.
• Prepare or cause preparation of daily quality, occurrence maintenance and production reports.

Qualification for the Production Supervisor Job

• Degree in Dairy Technology/Food Science and Technology from a recognized University
• Over 5 years experience in Dairy sector of which must be at a supervisory level.
• High level leadership and decision making skills as well as ability to motivate and train people.
• Familiarity with new products designing and development.
