Salary  Minimum: 91,190.00 

Roles for the Records Management Officer Job

  • At this level an officer will be responsible for overseeing an operation in various registries specifically he will be:
  • Responsible for planning appropriate office accommodation for registries
  • Preparation and submission of budget estimates for registry services
  • Initiating appraisal and disposal of files documents and records in accordance with regulations
  • In additions the officer will be responsible for supervision guidance and development of staff under him.

Records Management Officer Job Requirements 

For appointment to this grade, he must have:

  • Served in the grade of   Chief Records Management Officer or in a relevant and comparable position in busy organization for a minimum period of three (3) years
  • A Bachelor Degree in Information Science/Record Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution and
  • Shown outstanding professional competence and administrative ability in the management of the records function
  • In addition to the above requirements, an officer must have the following key competencies:
  • Interpersonal skills including being a team player
  • Integrity and commitment to producing results
  • Proven working attitude and ability to give and take instructions  and
  • Ability to get on well with the diverse workforce.
