I Work With My Ex And Now He Is Dating Our Colleague. Should I Just Quit?

What happens when you find yourself working with your ex-lover in the same office? Mercy is a distraught woman, whose ex-boyfriend after breaking up their 4 year old relationship is now seeing someone else at work.
This is Mercy’s story
“I have been in my current job for almost 3 years now. I was lucky to get a job straight after graduation courtesy of knowing someone, because my boyfriend was good enough to recommend me for it.
He told me that his boss didn’t know about our relationship and if we were to work together, we would have to keep it a secret and keep it professional when at work.
We had been dating for over four years and I knew that we would never have any problems, Anyway it was fun knowing that he was right there to assist where he could.
Due to lack of experience, I started off as an paid intern for six months a short period where I came to love my job and deep down I knew that that was the career I wanted. I would later on be given a full time position at the same company doubling my salary.
However, four months later, things started to change between my boyfriend and I. He started demanding money from me claiming her had some ‘business projects’ he wanted to engage in. Though I didn’t know what exactly he was doing with the money, I used to give him. But when it became too much I confronted him but he was very rude claiming that were it not for him, I would still be jobless.

Finally, we decided to break up because things seemed not to work for us anymore. I felt the quarrels and conflicts were affecting my productivity. Luckily, he also agreed that we just remain friends.
All through I have had a good relationship with him at work, according him the respect he deserves as my ex-lover.
However, I have realized that he is now dating a colleague who is also close to me and they do everything together including going for lunch. Last week the lady shared with me their intimate pictures over the weekend. I have nothing against her because she seems to love him very much.

However, I just can’t get past the fact that he choose to date someone I work with and worse a lady I am very close with.
I was okay breaking up with him but this is too much, seeing them together has made things very difficult for me and it’s affecting my work.
I am stuck. This thing is really eating at me. Should I just quit my job to stop seeing them?”
