Our Client in the hospitality industry is currently looking to hire a Cleaner/Janitor.

Responsibilities

• Clean, dust and mop floors by using a variety of equipment and supplies
• Ensure that cleaning liquids are mixed in correct and safe quantities
• Wipe down and make sure that any stubborn smears are removed using appropriate cleaning materials
• Empty trash cans and ashtrays and make sure that all trash is properly disposed off
• Clean and wash down windows and ensure that they are dried properly
• Ensure that the restaurant kitchen and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained
• Wash down restrooms and ensure they are sanitized properly
• Replenish towels, soap and toilet paper in bathrooms on a regular basis
• Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points
• Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops. Mopping floors with wet or damp mops.
• Using electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish and spray clean floors (after receiving proper instruction and training).
• Using electrically powered pick up machines.
• To dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, and window sills, external surfaces of cupboards, shelves and fitments.
• To replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels) if required within the contract.
•  To clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, baths, showers and drinking fountains.
• The use of chemical agents as directed by the Supervising Officer in the discharge of cleaning operations or maintenance procedures, after receiving proper instructions and training.
