JOB DESCRIPTION:

The position holder is responsible for achieving production objectives ensuring that production processes in the respective production units are in compliance with set standards and specification and to carry out continuous process evaluation for cost control.  This position reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for activities relating to daily production planning and execution of production plans while fully complying with requirements to meet production volume demands.

DUTIES:

• Ensure compliance of the manufacturing facility, personnel & processes to required standards.
• Implement cost control measures.
• Lead and Supervise Production department.
• Achieve daily volume targets as per the production budget.
• Ensure that products are produced as per set standards and specification to achieve the quality objectives.
• Authorize work instructions and standard operating procedures related to production and ensure their strict implementation.
• Ensure proper maintenance in coordination with the Maintenance Technician of premises and equipment in the production
• Ensure proper training and evaluation of production personnel and maintain records of such trainings.
• Ensure zero wastage of production inputs such as raw materials, bottles. Plugs, caps, labels, tapes and cartons.
• Ensure and monitor cleanliness of the manufacturing environment.
• Monitor the production processes and in-process chemical analysis results.
• Ensure the water treatment plant complies with requirements.
• Ensure that all weighing and mixing activities are in strict compliance with the relevant Batch Sheets and SOPs.
• Oversee the manufacturing process and ensure that production lines operate smoothly and efficiently.
• Generate production plans, set targets and ensure the finished product meet quality standards.
• Ensure production equipment are used with care to avoid breakdowns
• Ensure production personnel are kept to an optimum number and that they are fully engaged.
• Carry out in co-ordination with HR disciplinary action on matters involving personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Diploma/Degree in Chemistry or its equivalent
• 3-4 Years’ experience working in a similar position
• Strong personality and ability to manage production teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve strict production targets.
• Be aged above 27 years.
