Job Purpose 

The overall purpose of this job is to undertake comprehensive firewall management, offering support to end-user departments, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing both software and hardware for different user departments as required in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and in alignment with established protocols and the organization’s technology objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing hospital technological infrastructures and operations to ensure they adhere to the company policies and regulations.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot all networks and computer-related issues for best performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware, operating systems, applications, and CCTV.
  • Perform preventive maintenance duties on items of ICT hardware, including the cleaning of equipment.
  • Ensure that network access privileges, applications, data storage, and regular backups are configured and maintained.
  • Integrate security, and physical control solutions for all confidential data and systems as well as identify security gaps and provide relevant solutions in consultation with the ICT Manager.
  • Liaise with the end user to clarify, analyze, and resolve reported issues, delivering a high standard of ICT support.
  • Manage and maintain the Hospital website, Internet, Graphic designs, and WAN in collaboration with other concerned areas.
  • Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes, maintenance schedule, and up-to-date inventory of all ICT infrastructure equipment including licenses.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as an ICT officer, with at least 1 year of experience in a busy hospital setting.
