Kenya Airways Assistant Supplies Officer Job

Brief Description        

The role of an Assistant Supplies Officer is to e-cycle and pack in-flight materials to minimize wastage and ensure availability as per required flight standard loads. They make sure the packaging and issuing of the items to flights is done on timely manner and no delay to flight departures caused by late delivery. Their key role is to optimize the recycling of the items and minimize drawing of new items from stock.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Packing labelling and recording of In-flight materials for KQ flights as per approved standard loads.
  • Receive and verify stock returns from outstations and credit back into the system for accountability
  • Receive, verify and recycling of in-flight materials so as to minimize stock losses and wastage.
  • Stock record keeping ensuring accountability.
  • Binning of re-cycled and packed material as per laid down procedures to ensure both safety and accountability.
  • Ensure testing of headsets.
  • Ensure packed amenities, headsets and blankets are handed over to cabin groomers with a register book.
  • Ensure safe handling of stocks and documentation according to company procedures.

Job Requirements        

  • Diploma in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
  • Previous experience as a Stores clerk or a similar position.
  • Working knowledge of flow of materials in supply chain
  • Attention to details and accuracy
  • Unquestionable Honesty / Integrity / Ethics
  • Team Player
  • 2 yrs. experience in warehouse Management or Supply Chain environment
