Ilara Health Senior Human Resource Associate Job

The Role:

As a Senior Human Associate, you’ll collaborate closely with the HR Manager and and play a crucial role in supporting our rapidly growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Recruitment: Support the HR Manager in all aspects of recruitment, from candidate sourcing and screening to interview coordination and offer negotiation. Assist in building and maintaining diverse talent pipelines.
  • Payroll & Benefits: Assist the HR Manager in processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with regulations. Support benefit administration and communicate benefit information to employees.
  • Performance Management: Support the HR Manager in implementing performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms. Facilitate training workshops and coach employees on performance improvement.
  • Learning & Development: Collaborate with the HR Manager to identify training needs and design and deliver customized training programs. Manage learning resources and track the effectiveness of L&D initiatives.
  • Employee Engagement: Support the HR Manager in implementing employee engagement initiatives, such as surveys, feedback mechanisms, and recognition programs. Assist in planning and organizing events to foster a positive work environment.
  • Employee Relations: Support the HR Manager in investigating and resolving employee concerns and complaints, ensuring fair and consistent treatment. Assist in mediating conflicts and providing guidance on company policies.
  • Compliance Support: Assist the HR Manager in ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations in Kenya. Conduct initial audits, stay updated on basic legal changes, and escalate complex issues to the HR Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • CHRP-K
  • Member of IHRM

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in HR software and experience with performance management systems.
  • Passion for healthcare, a commitment to our mission, and a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Understanding of employment law and compliance regulations in Africa, or a strong desire to learn.
