Job Specification

Duties and responsibilities

  • Maintains water and sanitation facilities for Konza Technopolis;
  • Supervises and inspects water and sanitation construction works;
  • Supervises consultants and contractors appointed by the Authority to implement water and sanitation projects and programmes in Konza Technopolis;
  • Reviews water and sanitation designs for development plans;
  • Supports in the administration of contracts, including checking on the estimate costs of new water works, assisting in checking the adherence to specifications and standards while ensuring that the project is progressing on;
  • Provides water and sanitation engineering advice to the Authority.
  • Liaises on behalf of the Authorities with external Stakeholders supporting the provision of Water and Sanitation facilities to the Technopolis

Person Specification

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –

  • Bachelor’s Degree in water and sanitation engineering, Biosystems engineering, chemical engineering or relevant qualifications from a recognized institution;
  • Be registered by the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya as a Graduate Engineer;
  • Proficiency in computer applications.

Successful candidates shall be required to comply with requirements of Chapter six of the constitution and will be required to submit among other documents:

  • Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations;
  • Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board;
  • Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority;
  • Dully filled and stamped Self-Declaration/Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC);
  • A Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
