Githunguri Dairy Farmers Co-operative Society Ltd plays a key role in marketing of its member’s milk which is processed and packed in form of pouch packed fresh milk, Tetra Classic fresh milk, lala, butter, ghee and cream under the flagship of “Fresha Dairy Products”.

The society invites applications from suitable internal candidates to fill the following vacant position

Job Role

Supervision of staff and ensuring proper utilization of resources through monitoring of processes for maximum quality production

Duties and Responsibilities among others

• Carrying out proper and efficient operations of milk processing and / or packaging to achieve set quantitative and qualitative production targets.
• Work closely with engineering maintenance personnel in facilitating and ensuring proper machines and equipment servicing and maintenance.
• Liaise and work closely with the Quality Assurance personnel in facilitating and ensuring conformance to milk and milk products statutory standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Degree in Dairy / Food Science and Technology / Dairy Science and Technology from a recognized institution.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Production / Quality assurance Supervisor in a food processing company preferably dairy processing company.
• Must be prepared to work in a shift arrangement.
• Knowledge and experience in HACCP and ISO management systems and Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
• Experience in UHT processing and packaging systems will be an added advantage.
