Agricultural Engineer Job County Government of Marsabit

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Extension service delivery on irrigation, agricultural /farm mechanization, sustainable water and environmental conservation and management and other related land development services
  • Irrigation planning, surveying, design and development services
  • Coordination, supervision and guidance on farm machinery repairs servicing and maintenance, to ensure quality work and timely completion of the same
  • Organization and implementation of mechanization extension programs related to farm power, farm mechanization, mechanized soil and water conservation service and other related land development services

Requirements for appointment

  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • Have Bachelor of Science Degree in any of the following fields: – Agricultural Engineering, Environmental and Bio systems Engineering or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Have at least three (3) years’ experience in the relevant field
  • Registration with Kenya Engineering Technology Registration Board (KETRB) or Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) as a technician ;
  • Have Proficiency in computer applications
