We are looking for a proactive impact-focused Health and Medical Supplies Merchandiser – Agent to successfully propel ShopIt in ensuring a versatile and thriving Health and Medical Supplies Products Category (Hospital & Medical Devices, Mobility & Orthopedic Supplies, Medical Apparel, Personal Medical Care, etc) that emulates and complies with ShopIt Customer Expectations and company operations.

To be successful as a Medical Supplies Category Merchandiser at ShopIt you should have excellent product knowledge, detail-oriented, and adept in understanding technical consumer needs and the retail environment when it comes to Health and Medical Supplies Products and complementary services. You must possess a commercial mindset fueled by integrity and have adequate comprehension of marketing and sales principles.

Role Responsibilities

• Health and Medical Supplies Category Merchandising; Develop and implement category strategies and plans to achieve sales and profit targets in Health and Medical Supplies.
• Monitoring and Adjusting Market Dynamics (Customer preferences, industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant regulations).
• Health and Medical Supplies products catalog and products content (Specifications); Manage Health and Medical Supplies product assortment (planning, selection, and optimization).
• Conduct regular performance reviews of Health and Medical Supplies product categories to ensure customer quality expectations and trends-conscious, monitoring competitor Health and Medical Supplies products and pricing to identify opportunities and make informed decisions.
• Oversight of Health and Medical Supplies Products’ pricing policy and its enforcement
• Developing exit strategies for unsuccessful Health and Medical Supplies products and revitalizing dormant Health and Medical Supplies products.
• Health and Medical Supplies Products information and quality assurance
• Health and Medical Supplies Competitors profile and pricing comparison Database Management.

Required Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of relevant working experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Healthcare. Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Health/Medical Devices, Diagnostics, and Equipment, Hospital/Medical Business Administration, Health/Medical Sales and Marketing, or a related field in Health/Medical field.
• Proven experience in product(s) category merchandising or related roles, with a proven track record of technical customer service and driving sales growth and profitability with Health and Medical Supplies Products.
• Proficiency in using category management software and tools.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, management, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service and customer care skills.
• Must be willing to work six days a week. (Monday – Saturday).
• Must have attained B+ and above in their KCSE.
• Experience in Healthcare with IT, Retail, or e-Business industry is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and proactively influence others.
• Interest/Passion in Healthcare/Medicine and Health/Medical products and equipment.
