Administration and Accounts Assistant Job Lodwar Hills Hospital

The position is based in Lodwar, Kenya and reports to the Lead Hospital Accountant. The accounts and Administration Assistant will support the accountant in execution of key administration and accounting duties. The suitable candidate shall among other duties in summary support the lead accountant in provision of financial record-keeping, procurement, logistical and administrative support.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records by organizing physical and digital files and ensuring easy access.
  • Reconcile and process invoices, manage accounts payable, and ensure timely payments.
  • Coordinate and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers and other external partners.
  • Assist with maintaining internal controls to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • Maintain Petty cash and ensure timely top up of the same.
  • Oversee daily office operations, including managing office supplies, equipment, and facilities in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Provide administrative support to senior management and other departments as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Lead Accountant and the Hospital Management.

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Accounting, or Finance
  • Minimum of CPA – Section II
  • At least 1 year experience in a similar/related position.
  • Working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping software’s e.g QuickBookss
